Ralph Prioleau, Jr., who is the son of Ralph Sr. and Almena Prioleau, was born and raised in Saint Stephen, SC. Ralph attended schools located in the Berkeley County School District. In 2009, he graduated from Timberland High School and transitioned to the University of South Carolina-Aiken. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Ralph started law school at the Charleston School of Law, where he graduated in December 2017 with a Juris Doctorate degree.

 

After law school, Ralph clerked for the Horry County Master in Equity, the Honorable Cynthia Graham Howe, where he stayed for four years. In January 2023, Ralph was named Assistant Dean of Academic Administration and Assessment at the Charleston School of Law. 

 

Ralph also serves the community and state in other capacities. Currently, he is the Third Vice Chair for the South Carolina Democratic Party, Chair of the Bylaws Committee for the South Carolina Democratic Party Council of Black Democrats, member of the Rules committee for the South Carolina Democratic Party, and a board member for the Palmetto Community Action Partnership. Previously, he has served as the county chair for the Berkeley County Democratic Party and a musician for Truth Tabernacle, Inc. under Overseer H.E. Dixon. 

 

Over the past seven years, Ralph has been happily married to Machelle Prioleau and has three wonderful children: Taylor, Shonté, and Antwoine.
